Louise H. Dietenhofer, 93 of Marshfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 17, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold A. Dietenhofer, who passed away in 2016.
In addition, she leaves her sister, Doris Powers of Plymouth, her son Paul and his wife Linda of Marshfield, her son John and his wife Mary of Duxbury and her grandsons Kurt and Joshua.
Raised in Jamaica Plain by her parents, John and Agnes Eichner. Later they moved to Newton and then to Plymouth. Louise spent many years working at Boston College in the Philosophy Department.
They enjoyed summers in Green Harbor at their cottage and the beach with family and friends. They loved square dancing and took several trips to Germany to visit family. Louise was the ultimate Bruins fan, never missing watching their games.
After moving to Southport in Mashpee, they met many new friends, got involved in the communities activities and were liked by everyone.
Later Louise took up watercolor art and created many beautiful paintings.
Her final years were spent at Proprietors Green in Marshfield, where she will always be remembered for her contagious smile.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
