Madelyn Irene Turley died peacefully at Benchmark Senior Living's Plymouth Crossings on Saturday, November 10, 2018. She was 81. Until recently, Madelyn was living on the east coast but, as she would tell everyone she met, she was a Montana girl, through and through. She was a coal miner's daughter in Roundup, Montana, who married at 19 and joined her new husband on his family ranch in Musselshell. She was happily married to David Martin Turley for 45 years until his death in 2001 and pined for him until her last day.
Madelyn loved playing cards, taking care of other people, and serving as the unofficial "mayor" of any community she joined. She was an active volunteer for Fredericksburg, Virginia food pantry and the Lions club. She will be missed by many people in many places, especially her family, children Jeff Turley and his wife Sue of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Jill Turley-Haselman of Delray Beach, Florida and many friends at Lake of the Woods in Locust Grove, Virginia. Madelyn was predeceased by one child, Jerry Turley. She leaves 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be private.
