Margaret S. Allen, of Marshfield, passed away on September 22, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Donald Allen; loving mother of Lisa Allen O'Connor of Marshfield and David Allen and his wife Michiko Shepherd of Los Angeles, CA; cherished grandmother of Sara and Stevie O'Connor, Riley and Hayley Allen, and Blake Shepherd; mother in-law of Stephen J. O'Connor, Jr., Margaret also leaves many dear friends.

Margaret was an avid ballroom dancer, and wouldn't miss an episode of dancing with the stars. Margaret was the guitar teacher at Marshfield High School for many years. She also played at many venues and sang her heart out. Margaret was also heavily involved in the Marshfield YWCA, and was an advocate for YWCA programs. Margaret was well known for her shortbread cookies and her "special spaghetti sauce". She enjoyed knitting and needlepoint, had an incredible flare for style, and loved a strong hug, maybe even more than she loved her cup of tea with a shortbread cookie.

Visitation on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield will be followed by a funeral procession to St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 am.  Burial will be in Couch Cemetery.
