Margaret A. Campbell of Marshfield left us unexpectedly on January 31st, 2019. She was the last of four siblings, born to Richard and Anne Little of Cambridge, MA. Margaret leaves behind her only son, Jay Keating, and his wife Carol Keating. She's also survived by her beloved three grandchildren: Jessica, Regan, and Shannon Keating, as well as one great-grandchild, Ronan McCarthy.
Margaret worked as a professional nanny all of her life, primarily in Newton, Cohasset, and as she would call it, "La Di Da Beacon Hill." She worked for many wonderful families who cherished her as part of their own. Children she cradled as toddlers were still calling her in her last week on this earth. She loved all of them like one of her own, and was so proud to see the incredible adults they all had become.
Aside from nannying, Margaret's other full time job was laughter. Though she'd endured her share of struggles in this lifetime she did so with the mindset that it would make a great story later. Absolutely everything had a positive side, or at least she could make fun of it enough to.
Margaret lived her last ten years at Winslow Village in Marshfield, where she had made many friends. Her sarcastic wit, incredible sense of humor, and contagious laugh will forever be missed. She was a masterpiece who's unexpected departed shocked us, but we can all say for sure any time we think of her we will always smile.
" A hundred years from now...it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child."
