Gibson, Margaret E. "Peg" (Gorham), of Duxbury, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2016 at the home of her daughter/caregiver where she lived in Plymouth. Beloved wife of the late Gerard R. Gibson, Margaret is the loving mother of Beth Marie Murdough-DiBona and her husband David of Plymouth and Mark G. Gibson of Duxbury; cherished grandmother of Capt. Daniel R. and Martha J. Murdough, Taylor L. Murdough, Kate V. Murdough, Tessa M. DiBona, Jessica Douglas, and Kelly A. Gibson; great-grandmother of Robert S. Cantalupo and Chase Doran; sister of Gus Gorham, Dorothy Curry, Danny Gorham, and the late Mary Keeley; mother-in-law of the late Robert A. Murdough Jr.

As a young newlywed, Margaret worked as a secretary in Boston, she then became a devoted stay at home wife and mother of her children, Beth and Mark. Later she went on to become a beloved member of the Duxbury High School guidance department, where she spent many happy years before retiring. Her greatest joys were her children and her grandchildren, who adored her. Everyone who knew Peg, knew her as an exceptionally loving, kind, funny, and selfless woman.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street in Duxbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory can be made to support the care of her son Mark as he begins treatment for leukemia. Checks made payable to Mark's sister Beth DiBona can be mailed to her at 80 Roxy Cahoon Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.
