McGillvray, Margaret L. (Morse), of Weymouth, passed away on November 24, 2016 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Thomas McGillvray; dear mother of Patricia A. Viola and her husband John of Marshfield and Thomas J. McGillvray of Braintree; grandmother of Elizabeth Opitz and her husband Craig, Julianne Viola, Gina Hill and her husband Jared, Anthony Viola, and Lea Viola. Margaret was one of 8 children born to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Garvey) Morse. She is predeceased by a brother, the late Charles Morse of Plainville and a sister, the late Rosemary Roche of Dorchester but leaves her sisters Dorothy O'Leary of Weymouth, Grace McGrath of Braintree, Barbara Morrison of Mansfield, Ruth Reale of Dedham, and Patricia Hock of Hull, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was born and raised in Dorchester and resided in South Weymouth until moving to Scituate. She enjoyed her life as a "stay at home Mom" and later worked as a grocery clerk for the First National and Purity Supreme Supermarkets.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield. Burial will be in Couch Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Life Care Center in Scituate who lovingly cared for Margaret these past four years.
