Stidstone, Margaret M. (Lucas), of Marshfield, passed away on April 9, 2017 at the age of 89, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 51 years of the late Wilfred 'Spud' Stidstone, Margaret is the dear and devoted mother of Joan Frolick and her husband James of Athol, Mary Ann Seamon and her husband Walter of Marshfield, Janet Stidstone of Sterling, Robert Stidstone and his wife Heather of Florida, Richard Stidstone and his wife Nancy of Middleboro, Mark Stidstone and his wife Cherry of Alabama, Philip Stidstone of Rhode Island, Thomas Stidstone and his wife Tina of Hanson, and the late Charles Stidstone.  Margaret is the proud and adoring grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret had a love of music and her favorite time of year was Christmas. In addition to 51 years of marriage to the love of her life, Spud, she was always actively involved in the lives of her children and her family, including the family dog Jasmine who was her loyal and constant companion. She enjoyed having lunch every Friday with her best friend, Mary. Margaret leaves behind friends and family who will miss her every day.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
