Rodrigues, Maria H. (Faria), of Duxbury, passed away on June 8, 2016 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Rogerio Rodrigues and mother of the late Paula Duffy, Maria leaves her son in-law John "Jack" Duffy and his wife Maria Furman-Duffy, 3 grandchildren John Jr., Matthew and Maria, and 2 great-grandchildren Colin and Jack.

Maria was born in the Azores, Portugal to the late Jose F. and Emilia A. (Cordeiro) Faria. She was a renowned dress maker who loved to knit and sew. Maria worked as a Nurse's Assistant at Neville Manor in the City of Cambridge. She also studied English at Harvard University and was a collaborator with world renowned chef Julia Child on Portugese Cuisine. But most of all she was our loving Vavo.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury. Internment will be in Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
