Marian Eleanor (Glendon) Greer of South Yarmouth (formerly of Dorchester) passed away peacefully at the age of 91 surrounded by her family on January 7, 2025. Marian is survived by her daughter Diane Looney of Marshfield and her husband Peter.  She is predeceased by her sister Eileen of Braintree and her brother Richard Glendon of Dorchester.  Marian had three grandchildren Brendan, Molly and Nolan and they were the light of her life.  She was lovingly known to them as Nanny and they will miss her so deeply.

Marian worked for the Massachusetts Highway Department for 40+ years where she made many lifelong friends.  She later retired to South Yarmouth where she made many new friends.  Marian was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.   She will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at St. Ann by the Sea Parish Church, 591 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Burial will be in the Braintree Cemetery.
