Bonner, Marie Phillips, of Marshfield, MA, passed away on January 11, 2014 at Cardigan Nursing Home in Scituate, MA at the age of 83. Born in Tallant, Texas on November 17, 1930 to the late William and Alta Vita Phillips, Marie was raised and educated in Teague, Texas and was married to the late Floyd Bonner for 30 years. Devoted mother to 4 children from a previous marriage to the late William Whippen, she leaves her daughter Sharon Fitzgibbons and her husband Thomas of Weymouth, her son Brian Whippen of Plymouth, Julia Beaulieu and her husband David of Marshfield, and the late Michael Whippen, as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Marie worked as a librarian at the Marshfield Ventress Library for over 30 years. She retired to Ashland, ME and then returned to the South Shore for the past 4 years. Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street Route 139 in Marshfield on Tuesday January 14, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday January 15, 2014 at St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield, MA.
