Marie F. Connolly, age 80 of Marshfield, entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her family on September 23, 2015. Marie grew up in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Blessed Sacrament High School before marrying the love of her life Paul T. Connolly. They were married for 58 years, spending the last 48 of them in Marshfield. They were inseparable, always enjoying time together, whether at home or traveling with family and friends. Loving Mother to Paul Connolly of Marshfield, Susan Calvo and her husband Rick of Bassett NE, Nancy Connolly of Duxbury, Stephen Connolly and his wife Maria of Scituate, Elizabeth Gilmore of Marshfield, David Connolly and his wife Sandra of Scituate, and Carolyn Riggs and her husband Daniel of North Platte NE.

Marie devoted her life to raising her children, always involved in their lives and active in her church. Nothing brought her more happiness than providing a loving home for her family. Proud & delighted Mamie/Grandma to Nicholas, Lauren, Jordan, Jessica, Drew, Luke, Brooke, Joseph, Samuel, Noah, Cameron, Rachael, Noel, Brett, Callie, Reed, Caitlin, and Dane. Marie was predeceased by her parents John J. and Mary E McCarthy and her brothers John and James McCarthy and Harry Meehan. Loving Aunt of Carol Kennedy and James, John and Michael McCarthy.

Visiting hours will be Monday Sept 28, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte 139) Marshfield. Funeral Mass Tuesday, September 29, 10:00 AM at St. Ann's By the Sea Church, 591 Ocean St. Marshfield.
