Mario M. Martins of Plympton, formerly of Marshfield, was called home on April 3, 2015 at the age of 87. Mario was the first born son of Joseph and Mary Martins. He was preceded in death by a son, Sandy Martins of Midland, PA. Mario is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 53 years, Priscilla "Pat" (Underwood) Martins. The proud father of his son, Mario M. Martins of Carver, his wife Jill, their daughter Isabella. His daughter, Briggette Martins-Hebert of Plympton, her husband Joseph, their daughter Alyxandra. A daughter, Sydne Marrow and her children Jason and Taylor. Beloved brother of Donald Martin, Mary Ann Fernandez, Donna Gomez and the late Diana Fernandes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mario was a WWII veteran, a graduate of Carnegie Tech Art Institute, Pittsburgh PA. He was a lover of architecture, an avid golfer and a lover of the outdoors. He loved his grandchildren and especially cherished the time he spent with Isabella and Alyxandra. They will miss their Papa deeply. Services will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1775 Ocean St., Marshfield, on Wednesday, April 8 from 4pm – 8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, April 9 at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St. in Marshfield at 9:00 a.m. followed by an interment in Couch Cemetery.
