Obituary

Marjorie Andrews of Marshfield passed away peacefully in her home on May 9, 2025 following a brief illness. Margie, also lovingly known as Gema, Mimi, Meem and Mom, was born in Boston in 1939. Raised in Quincy she was the youngest of three siblings. She was a funny and cherished soul whose warmth and thoughtfulness touched all who knew her. A deeply religious woman she attended Catholic schools and found love and solace in the Lord.

From a young age, she had an ardent love for the ballet. Close family remember her talking about her favorite baby blue toe shoes. A beach lover at heart, she and her daughters spent countless days at Wollaston and Gun Rock beaches, staying long past sunset.

To her cherished six grand and five great-grandchildren, she was a constant source of love and encouragement. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by those lucky enough to be loved by her. In addition to her grandchildren, Margie leaves her children Georgianna E. MacNeil and her husband Michael and Kristin M. Croft and her husband Robert. She was predeceased by siblings Helen Brown and Jack Henaghan.

A private celebration of life will be held with close family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to your local Veterans group or Hospice Center in her honor.
