Martha L. Collins (1927-2015) of Plymouth, formerly of Marshfield, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 after a short illness. She was 87 years old. Born in Boston of the late Miriam and Roger Linnett. She was the loving wife of Leo F. Collins, Sr., with whom she was married for 62 years. She was the loving mother of daughters Kathleen Collins of Willows, CA; Linda Collins and husband Eugene Porter of Oakland, CA; Margaret Collins and husband Darrel Odland of Vacaville, CA; and of sons Leo Collins, Jr. of Marshfield, MA; David Collins and wife Megan Collins of Port Chester, NY; and of daughter Sarah Collins of Plymouth, MA. Survived by grandchildren Matthew Corrow, Sonja Corrow and Kevin Wright and of Natalie Porter of California and of Daniel Collins, Matthew Collins and Liam Collins of Massachusetts and great-granddaughter Azara Corrow of California. She was a graduate of North Quincy High School. She spent some years working in Boston and Cambridge for businesses such as WNAC and Lever Brothers before marrying Leo F. Collins in 1950. A dedicated mother and housewife for nearly thirty-five years, she returned to professional life as a real estate agent in Marshfield, MA in the 1980's before retiring in 1987 to Port Medway, Nova Scotia and Deland, Florida. She was the loving sister of Roger Linnett and wife Beatrice of Los Angeles, CA (now deceased); Charles Linnett (now deceased) and wife Janet of Weare, NH, and of Constance Kilmain of Placerville, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at MacDonald's Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield, MA on Thursday, September 24 from 4 to 8 .Funeral Mass will be held at St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St., Rte 3A in Marshfield on Friday, September 25 at 12 noon.
