Patti, Mary J (Connolly-Loring) of Marshfield, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on January 29, 2012 at the age of 94 after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Carl Patti and Joseph Loring. Loving mother of Marilyn O'Rourke and her husband James of Manchester, CT and Josephine Somers and her husband Richard of Marshfield. Loving grandmother of James O'Rourke & wife, Kimberly, of Cromwell, CT, Charles O'Rourke & wife, Christine, of West Hartford, CT, Michael O'Rourke & wife, Mercedes, of Everett, MA, Meredith Somers of New York City, and Amanda Somers of Marshfield, MA. Great grandmother of Shannon, Colleen, Rosemary, Brianna and Grace. Dear sister of Margaret Noonan of Plymouth, Teresa Prada of Rockland, Josephine McLean of Pembroke, John Connolly of Waltham and the late Nancy Burke and Eleanor Lynch Mahoney. Daughter of the late Coleman and Mary (Doyle) Connolly. Mary was born and raised in Dorchester. She graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School, then raised her Daughters surrounded by Family & friends. Mary retired from the IRS in 1987, when she remarried to Carl. She enjoyed spending winters in Delray Beach reading, discussing Irish family heritage, and spending time with her family. She will be sorely missed by all those who were fortunate to know and love her. Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St. Rte. 139, Marshfield on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St. at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Couch Cemetery.
