Mary P. (Gaughran) Counihan of Marshfield passed away on December 20, 2022 at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Counihan; loving mother of Karen Stack and her husband Brendan of Marshfield and Robert Counihan and his wife Tina of Scituate; cherished grandmother of Kayley and Dan Stack and Julia and Kelsey Counihan. Daughter of the late Robert A. and Dorothea (Bennett) Gaughran, Mary was the dear sister of Robert Gaughran and his wife Kim of Brewster and Jean Lynch and her husband Michael of Marshfield, and also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield. Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery.
