Mary E. (Glover) Doyle of Millis, formerly of Marshfield, passed away on November 8, 2017, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Charles P. "Charlie" Doyle; devoted mother of Wayne Doyle and his wife Deborah of Dover, DE, Dianne LeBlanc of Mechanicsburg, PA, Linda Sera and her husband David of Weymouth, Chuck Doyle and his wife Nancy of Millis, John Doyle and his wife Nancy of Merrimack, NH, Rick Doyle of Quincy, and the late Michael Doyle; cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister of the late Arthur Glover, Jr., and J. Richard Murphy.
Mary was born in Boston served in the Women's Army Corp in 1950 as a PFC in Staff Company "C" stationed in Okinawa. She became an accomplished Cantor, was a member of the Papal Choir, and sang for the Pope in Germany and Rome. Mary lived for Music, Church and Family. Former Music Director of St. Christine's Church in Marshfield, she was passionate about sharing her love of music with others, especially children. Mary enjoyed travelling, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was always smiling and selflessly giving to families in need.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield.
