Mary (Gillis) Farmer of Marshfield, age 80, passed away on June 13, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. Mary, along with her triplet brothers Donald and George, was born in Boston on August 16, 1935 to Josephine and Daniel Gillis. She was happily married to, and is survived by, her husband Thomas L. Farmer, and they lived many of their nearly 55 years of marriage in Quincy before moving to Marshfield in 1994. Beloved mother of Richard (and his wife Eileen) of Middleboro, Robert (and his wife Patricia) of Sandwich, Dorene (and her husband Brian) of Chevy Chase, MD, Diane (and her husband Michael) of North Attleboro, Thomas (and his wife Beth) of Pembroke, Mary (and her husband John) of Marshfield, and Anne (and her husband Jon) of Kingston. Mary was also greatly loved by her grandchildren Caitlin, Zachary, Lauren, Kyle, Rachel, Emily, Jared, Michaela, Abigail, Grace, Thomas and John, and her great-granddaughter Sarah. Mary is the last surviving sibling of 9 brothers and sisters, and is the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church, 1689 Center Street, West Roxbury. Internment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
