Mary Evans Handy of Marshfield has passed on April 19,2022. Born in Cohasset to Walter and Ruth (Stoughton) Wheelwright October 19,1927, she was the loving mother of sons David Evans and his wife Robin and Brian Evans and his wife June, also of Marshfield, and stepmother to Karen Steele, Jill Handy, and the late Robert Handy. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Albert Handy and her loving husband Kenneth Evans. Mary had five grandchildren, Jason, Kiley and Katlyn Evans, and Kenneth and Thomas Evans. She also was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Maxwell and Eleanor Evans, all of whom she loved greatly as they did her. She is also survived by Nephews Richard and John Dooley and Nieces Mary Dooley and Sandra Figgie.

Mary graduated from Cambridge City Hospital of Nursing and was proud of her profession and of her 30 plus year career at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She followed that working well into her 70's for Dr. Edwin Hacker in Plymouth. Mary was very active at First Congregational Church in Marshfield and made lifelong friends there. She loved them very much and she loved her church. She will be missed greatly by all of her Family and friends.

There will be a graveside service for Mary at Woodside Cemetery in Cohasset on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Rest In Peace, Mom.
