Mary E. (Coakley) Monahan passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 in her home.  Mary was born in Quincy and grew up in Weymouth.  Mary worked at New England Telephone for many years.  Mary married her late first husband, Donald MacKinnon, in 1974 and they resided in South Weymouth for many years.  Mary remarried her second husband in 1996, Andrew Monahan of Mission Hill.  They made their home in Marshfield for many years. Mary is also survived by her brother, Richard C. Coakley of North Easton, her sister, Jessie Anne (Coakley) Pierce and her husband Walter Pierce of Rockland.  She will be very missed by her many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Mary enjoyed listening to music, she loved working with her hands and doing crafts at home and loved being with her family.

Visiting hours on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield will conclude with a funeral procession to St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield, for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
