Mary Katrina Saccone, 72 of Scituate Massachusetts, passed away on October 21, 2023. She was born on September 8, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts to John and Mary Whippen.

Mary was a dedicated member of the church where she volunteered her time as a Carmelite third order and served as a Eucharistic minister. She found joy in traveling as she visited many places such as Ireland, Italy and Medjugorje. She would say she was "flipping around".

Mary is survived by her four children, Katrina M. Walker of Manchester, New Hampshire, Christopher V. Saccone of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Kevin A. Saccone of St. Augustine, Florida, and Mary Catherine Saccone of Savannah, Georgia. She leaves behind nine grandchildren:  Evan, Emma, Jake, Anthony, Maria Julia, Vincent, Allie, Brook and Max. She also leaves her sister Carol Zilonis and family, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Whippen and sister, Jean Jewett.

Mary attended Marshfield High School. She enjoyed baking anisette and chocolate chip cookies for her family as well as her famous fruitcake at Christmas time, a hobby that brought her great pleasure.

A memorial service will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield starting at 8:30 a.m. a mass service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St Mary Parish Church in Scituate. Mary will then be laid to rest in St. Mary cemetery in Scituate.
