Sanborn, Mary E. (Litchfield), of Scituate, passed away on January 3, 2016 at the age of 68 surrounded by the ones she loved. She fought a fierce, courageous battle, and still remained positive and brave till the end. Mary leaves her husband, Ronald Sanborn, her loving children Jeffrey Litchfield and his wife Jennifer of Duxbury, Kevin Litchfield and his wife Stephanie of Marshfield, Lynn Bradbury and her husband Michael of Quincy; and her dear grandchildren Kaleigh, Jack, Bridget, Ryan, Audrey,Ava, and Lukas. Dear sister of Elizabeth Breen of Scituate, the late Clarence Litchfield Jr, Jean Commesso of Marshfield, Evelyn Gulla of Florida, Joseph Litchfield of Colorado, Albert Litchfield of Marshfield, Frances Delaney of New Hampshire, John Litchfield of Marshfield and Louis Litchfield of Florida. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and their families.

Mary was raised in Cohasset (Beechwood) and Graduated from Cohasset High School. A hard worker, she was a Manager at the Phone Company Nynex in Braintree now called Verizon for many years. She also owned and ran a coffee shop in the Hingham courthouse for a long time. Mary enjoyed many things in life and was always on the go. Mary's greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. She was a Wonderful Mother and Nana. Mary was a proud member of The Sons of Italy Lodge and The Hanover Grange#206 where she had made many wonderful friends. Mary was always ready to help a family member or friend in need. She was a ray of Sunshine and a Beautiful Soul. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Rte. 139, Marshfield. Funeral from the Funeral Home Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield.
Interment will be in Couch Cemetery.
