Mary Kathleen Savini, known to all as Kathy, age 71, of Marshfield, November 21, 2017.
Born in Stoughton to Charles and Mary Maloney and raised in Avon, Kathy was the beloved wife of John N. Savini Jr., the devoted mother of Catherine Savini, Nicole Savini, and John (Jack) Nicholas Savini III, and loving grandmother of Quinn and Sam. The first born of seven, she is predeceased by her brother Joseph Maloney and leaves behind her sister Jane Tutino, Charles Maloney, Peter Maloney, Thomas Maloney and James Maloney. She also leaves her sister-in-law Danielle Maloney, brother-in-law John Tutino, son-in-law Michael Buckley, and many loving nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, and her friend and caregiver Trina Maldonado . Kathy graduated from Avon High School, where she met John, her best friend for 53 years, and in the past ten years, her tireless caregiver. Kathy was a dedicated teacher; she received a Master's Degree in library science from Bridgewater State University and taught for many years in Brockton and Hingham. Kathy loved the beach and skiing. She welcomed everyone with a smile and a meal, sang loud (if out of tune), beat (nearly) everyone at Scrabble, mowed the lawn in her bathing suit, and threw a truly fantastic party. Her generosity and patience knew no limit.
