Mary T Harris of Marshfield (formerly of Jamaica Plain) went home to the Lord on Feb 4 2017 at the age of 88. Mary was the beloved wife of Christopher J. Harris (Ret. BFD) and dear mother of Christine, Michael, John and the late Daniel and Mark Harris. She was the proud grandma of Christopher, Daniel, Jason, Tara, Seana and Rachel and great grandma to Emily, Marianna, Anthony, Cameron, Isabella and Slater.

Mary moved to Marshfield to indulge her passion for the ocean and retired from the West Roxbury Veterans Hospital after 19 years of service on the spinal cord unit.  She had an enthusiasm for life and rarely met a stranger who didn't become her friend. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her family, stalking consignment shops for a good bargain, and became very active in the Marshfield Senior Center as a volunteer, Red Hatter and whist player. Late in her life Mary joined the New Hope Chapel and found great comfort in her faith and in the kindness of that community. She will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and will conclude with a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Burial will be in Couch Cemetery.
