Fitzgibbons, Maryanne, of Marshfield, passed away on July 16, 2016 at the age of 74.
Maryanne was the beloved mother of Erika Prower and her husband Adam of Lowell and grandmother of Cora and Dylan Prower. She was born in Waltham to the late Vincent and Dorothy (Kittredge) Fitzgibbons.

Maryanne volunteered at the Marshfield Senior Center for several years, where she made many lasting friendships. She was a giving thoughtful person and would help anyone, in any way she could. Mostly though, she loved being at home. Her favorite thing to do was to sit on her deck with her flowers and listen to the birds. She had a green thumb and could will just about anything to grow and flourish. She loved being in the woods and enjoyed the peace it brought her. She also had a deep fondness for the beach, where she spent most of the summers throughout her life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit, which helped carry her through her illness. Maryanne had wonderful life-long friends and will be greatly missed by many, but she will be missed the most by her daughter, Erika.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield and will conclude with a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Edson Cemetery in Lowell on Thursday, July 21, 2016.
