Matthew C. Barrows, 36, of Marshfield, passed away on June 21, 2018. Beloved son of Joyce (Crowley) and Michael J. Barrows, loving father to Sapphire Raymond-Barrows, brother of Gabrielle Cordone and her husband Dominick, and Evan Barrows and his fiance Brittney, nephew of David and Marlene Barrows, and Lynn and Bill Ford. Matthew leaves his nephews Mason and Warren Cordone, and his cousins Sheila and Arthur Barrows, Colette Murphy, her husband Richard and their children Bridget and Abigail, and Monique Ford. He also leaves his two special friends Jessica Raymond and Jill Lombardi.

Matt's greatest happiness was found in being Sapphire's father. He cherished time spent with her; serving as both a girl scout troop leader and soccer coach. They enjoyed hiking together, going to concerts, and days at the beach.

Matt loved his family. He took pride in his ability to be helpful to the ones he loved and was happy to see them happy. He will be missed deeply by his loved ones who will think of him every time they go to the beach.

Visiting hours on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. will conclude with a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Sapphire R. Raymond Barrows Fund at any Bank of America location.
