London, Matthew of Marshfield, passed away on July 29 at the age of 24. Cherished son of Scott London and his wife Jennifer (Cheever) of Marshfield and Kelly (Gentile) Hanley of Stoughton. Adored big brother of Michael Kelly of Hingham, Brenna London of Marshfield and Benjamin London of Marshfield. Dear grandson of the late Evelyn and Bernard London, Patricia Cheever of CT., and Alberta and the late Salvatore Gentile of NH. Also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Matthew was raised in Marshfield for the past 14 years and was a graduate of Marshfield High School, class of 2008. Matthew's fun-loving personality was infectious to all who spent time with him. He especially enjoyed playing lacrosse and spending time on the cape with his friends and family where he fished and hunted and was a founding organizer of the Harwich beer float. His quick wit and bright smile will be forever missed.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Tuesday, August 5 from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in Matthews's memory may be made to Boston Children's Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
