Salmon, Matthew J., of Marshfield, passed away on December 24, 2017 at the age of 30. Matthew was the beloved son of John H. and Margaret "Maggie" M. (Papp) Salmon and brother of Jessica Salmon and her fiancé Marc Gustafson, Bryan Salmon, and Trevor Salmon, all of Marshfield. Matthew leaves his grandmother, Barbara Salmon of Plympton and his grandfather, Theodore Papp of Florida. He was the devoted uncle of Gabriella Gustafson of Marshfield.

Matthew loved watching and playing sports. He was a die-hard Boston fan. His passions included hockey, baseball and soccer. Matthew also loved American History and visiting historic sites.

Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139), Marshfield on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass to be held at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield. Burial will be private.
