Maureen A. (McElman) Beaulieu 74, of Marshfield. Passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020 after her courageous fight with Alzheimer's disease. Maureen was born May 22, 1946 at Saint Margaret's Hospital in Boston, to the late Muriel L. Gilmore (McElman) and Thomas A. McElman. Maureen grew up in Hanover Ma, where she attended public school then continued on to Bridgewater State University. She later returned to Hanover schools as a teacher.
Maureen is survived by her dedicated and beloved husband, Edmond A. Beaulieu. Along with her husband, she leaves behind two children and five grandchildren; her son David Beaulieu and wife Julia, as well as her daughter, Christine Beaulieu who are both from Marshfield. Maureen's five grandchildren: Jacob, Meghan, Austen, Branden, and Matthew, will all miss her dearly.
She was the eldest of four siblings, Diane (McElman) Beggan of Pembroke, Julianne (McElman) Fay of Pembroke, and Thomas McElman of Hanover. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Above all else, Maureen lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed visiting Florida with her husband and friends. She loved going to the beach, boating, reading, knitting and crocheting beautiful pieces for her loved ones, and attending craft fairs. Maureen loved to spend time with her beloved husband, especially going on drives in their Mustang convertible. When she wasn't busy with her many hobbies, she spent time with her grandchildren.
Maureen was employed at the Ventress Memorial Library in Marshfield for many years.
Edmond and Maureen spent 51 years together, as many of us know, they were the love of each other's lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly asking for donations to the Ventress Children's Library, 15 Library Plaza, 1837 Ocean Street, Marshfield MA 02050. The family will be having a private celebration of life at a later date.
