Michael Dillon, 88, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2026. Born on October 24, 1937, in Tullycrine, County Clare, Ireland, he was the beloved son of John Dillon and Jane Dillon (née Pender).

After spending a short time in England, Michael immigrated to the United States in 1958, first settling in the Boston area. He briefly lived in Chicago before returning to Massachusetts, where he ultimately made his home and built his life on the South Shore.

Michael was a skilled carpenter whose craftsmanship could be seen throughout the Boston area, where he worked on many major construction projects during his long career. Through hard work, talent, and determination, he also built 17 homes across the South Shore.

He was predeceased by his brother, Patrick Dillon. He is survived by his brother, Daniel Dillon of Tullycrine, County Clare, Ireland, and his sister, Mary Halvey of Kilmihil, County Clare, Ireland.

Michael was the devoted father of Ann Meade and her husband John of Needham; Michael Dillon and his wife Susan of Southborough; Sean Dillon and his wife Doreen of Marshfield; and Brian Dillon and his wife Beth of Hanover. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Ryan, Matthew, Chris, Rebecca, Rowan, Liam, and Sara.

He also shared many happy years and a special companionship with Judy Adams, who brought great joy to his life.
