Michael F Galvin passed away Saturday March 14, 2020 at home after a long and courageous battle/fight with cancer. Husband of Kara O'Donnell-Galvin. Devoted father to Sarah Galvin of Homer, Alaska, Private Brendan Galvin of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Step-father to Samantha and Maxwell Zahka both of Duxbury. He is survived by his loving siblings, Patrick (Patricia) of Hingham, James of Abington, Joyce Mackan (Michael) of Dorchester, and Brian of Everett. Son of the late Patrick and Mary Galvin of Milton and son-in law of John and Lynne O'Donnell of Naples, Florida, and sister-in-law Laurie O'Donnell of West Hartford, Ct. He is also survived by his niece Jennifer Galvin of South Boston, who fiercely assisted in navigating his healthcare journey, a nephew, Timothy Galvin of Hingham, and many cousins and close friends, including the Allen Family of Duxbury.

Michael enjoyed spending his time at the beaches of Duxbury, relaxing with friends and family, he was an avid golfer and fisherman, and a large New England sports fan often traveling to see the Patriots and Red Sox play in out-state venues.

A Funeral Service in the Holy Family Parish Church of Duxbury will be held at a later date.
