Michael S. Garside, of Marshfield, passed away on October 29, 2017 at the age of 44. Beloved son of Gail P. (Kempton) and the late Merrill Garside; dear brother of Erin M. Garside and her fiancé Ryan Healey of Marshfield; grandson of the late Frederick and June (Madill) Kempton and the late Milton and Arlene (Sinnott) Garside; godson of Stephen and Debra McCauley; uncle of Evan Millerick, Seamus Healey, and Kinsley Healey; Michael also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A graduate of Marshfield High School Class of 1991, Michael was an enthusiastic member of many teams including Hockey and Baseball, and continued to play both sports well after he graduated. He was a loyal and caring son and brother. His family meant the world to him. He was a skilled carpenter and an extremely hard worker. Michael was known for his booming voice and his big heart. His laugh was infectious and he was always ready to help a friend out no matter what the circumstances may have been. Known as "Uncle Mike" to not only Evan, Seamus, and Kinsley, but also to so many more. He always entertained the kids like a living jungle gym and he was a constant source of laughter and shenanigans. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, and will conclude with a Funeral Service at Noon at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.
