Michael Dennis Gilliam, 67, passed away on November 8, 2017. Michael was the beloved husband of Barbara (Funger) Gilliam and devoted father of Chelsea Mitchell and her husband Julian of Hyannis, MA.  He also leaves a brother, Larry Gilliam, of Irving, Texas and two nephews, Ross and Austin Gilliam, in New Braunfels, Texas.

Michael was born in Texas and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.  He lived in Alaska for many years and subsequently moved to Los Angeles, culminating his career working for Psomas.  His colleagues were an important part of his life and the close friendships he developed were cherished by him.  In retirement he travelled throughout the United States in a motorhome, making many new friends along the way.

Michael's friends and family are scattered throughout the 50 states.  A celebration of life will be scheduled for a date and time still yet to be determined.
