Michael J. Gray was reunited with his wife Linda on March 12th, 2022. Mike was 77. His girls, Jeni and Becca, held his hands as he passed peacefully at home. He is survived by his daughters Jenifer Gray Fricker and her husband Mike of Duxbury, Becca Gray and her husband Matt Phippard of Pembroke, and his five grandchildren, Grayce, Miles, Ella, Avery, and Noah.
Mike was born in Boston in December 1944 and adopted at 4 years old. He grew up in Hyde Park, attending parochial schools. He then went on to Boston Tech where he graduated and found his love for engineering. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1971.
A lover of cars, his 1966 cherry red GTO was his ultimate dream car.
Mike met the love of his life, Linda, on the beaches of Marshfield where they summered. They married in 1967 and built their first home in Duxbury that same year.
Mike worked for Gillette for 43 years as the Chief Industrial Designer. He designed many razor handles, but the most outstanding designs of his career were the Sensor and the Mach3. He also had many patents assigned to his name. He made many great lifelong friends there.
Mike was an avid golfer. He was a member at Marshfield Country Club and enjoyed being out on the course. He loved sports and played many growing up. The Bruins were a personal favorite.
A lover of life, Mike enjoyed the beach, friends, and traveling with Linda. If you ever spent time around a dinner table with him, you would be graced with many amazing and funny stories of his life and experiences. His greatest love was his wife Linda, his pride and joy were his daughters Jeni and Becca, and was proudest of his five grandchildren Grayce, Miles, Ella, Avery, and Noah. All of whom he loved dearly but who loved Pa-Pow even more.
He will be greatly missed.
