Obituary

Michael J. Irrera, of Duxbury, MA, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 12, 2022. He was born in upstate New York, son of John and Carole (Quinto) Irrera of Cairo, NY. He met his loving wife, Larissa (Starosielski) Irrera, in Western Massachusetts and together they traveled the world, settling in Duxbury, MA with their beautiful daughter, Siena. Mike also leaves his sister Michelle Busch (Richard) of Round Top, NY, their children Joshua and Tiana, his father and mother in-law Pavel and Darlene Starosielski, and his brother in-law Eric Starosielski (Amita) of Milford, NJ, their children Eeshan and Anika, and many loved aunts, an uncle, cousins, and friends.

Mike grew up across several New England states and then graduated from the University of Connecticut and worked in the technology field, becoming an expert in data management and warehousing. During his life he pursued many passions. Mike loved being Siena's dad. He was proud of the little girl and the young adult she has become and enjoyed playing basketball with her, cooking together, playing family games, and watching her grow and develop as a talented figure skater.

He became an avid photographer, capturing special moments with Larissa and Siena and their precious family pets. He loved traveling which started with a school trip to Germany and then led to many other destinations, exploring this country and others with family and friends. Any trip, from camping in Vermont to Costa Rica, was sure to be unique, staying in the most interesting places and creating amazing memories.

Mike had a passion for learning; he wanted to know everything he could about many topics. He was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan and celebrated their recent win surrounded by his family. Mike also had a talent and love for music and a love for the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks. Most of all, Mike was happiest creating amazing food for his friends and family. He will live on in all our hearts and will be forever missed.
