Michael R. Nielsen, of Marshfield, passed away on November 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 56. Beloved husband of Lynda (Ferrari) Nielsen; dear father of Michael Nielsen and his wife Aubrey of Marshfield, and grandfather of the late Trevor F. Nielsen. Michael was the cherished son of Phyllis and the late Rick Nielsen; brother of Rick Nielsen and his wife Andrea of California, Jimmy Nielsen of Marshfield, Stephen Nielsen of Braintree, and Phyllis Shea and her husband Michael of Marshfield. Michael also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield.  Funeral procession from the funeral home on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 9:00 AM for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Burial will be in the Couch Cemetery.
