Michael Parent, 68, of Marshfield, passed away on May 14th after a short battle with cancer.

Michael was born in Boston to Louis (Nick) and Doris Parent and raised in Medway, MA. He graduated from Medway High School, proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He loved working with his hands, especially on cars and boats. His other great passions were music and photography. An accomplished sign artist, Michael Parent was a graduate of Butera School of Art, and spent a major part of his life as a multi skilled sign technician, executing all phases of commercial sign manufacturing from Design through Installation. His attention to detail was impeccable in all facets of his work and his passions.

Michael is survived by his daughter Holly (Parent) Goguen and husband Bryon, son Nicholas Parent, sister Jacqui Hamel, brother Dennis Parent and wife Carol, and his two grandchildren, Evalyn Parent and William Goguen. Michael is preceded in death by his loving partner, Maggi Donahue.

A Celebration of Michael's life will be held at 2pm, Sunday May 19th at Venus II, 277 Ocean Street, Marshfield.
