Michael was raised in Jamaica Plain by Domenico & Adeline Vitiello, where he met and married Bobbi in 1962. They moved to Dedham, MA and raised their family. Mike was an active community member and Scout Master to Troup 3 for many years until 1983, when they moved to Marshfield, MA to be closer to the ocean that they enjoyed so much.
Throughout his life, Mike worked many different jobs from hanging traffic lights throughout New England, to maintenance technician at several facilities, owning and running his own repair shop, until he landed at his last place of employment, the South Shore YMCA in Quincy. He retired as the Building Maintenance Superintendent in 2006.
Once retired, he and Bobbi traveled up and down the east coast in their RV, until they found Panama City Beach, FL where they called home for 15 years. Originally, they summered up here in Marshfield, and wintered at the Emerald Coast Beach & RV Resort. They stopped wintering and became Florida residents in 2010 and visited for a few months during the summers.
In August of 2020, they moved to Moultrie Oaks Retirement Community in St. Augustine, FL to be closer to the east coast and family. They made great friends, Dick and Nancy Bingham were the first couple that they met as a couple. They were an instant "family" and enjoyed several activities together. Massachusetts Mike was an active member of R.O.M.E.O. where he made many more friends for life. He was really torn when he chose to leave in April, to be closer to family for his final months. He was loved, and will be missed, by many.
