Mildred E. (Francis) Conlon, of Green Harbor, Marshfield, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away on May 19, 2018 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Paul E. Conlon Sr; dear mother of Robert F. Conlon and his wife Debra of Marshfield, Ellen T. Kramer and her husband Michael of Port St Lucie, Florida, Lawrence M. Conlon and his wife Allison of Marshfield, John W. Conlon and his wife Terri of Marshfield, Jeanne M. Chappuis and her husband James of Duxbury, and the late Paul E. Conlon, Jr.; grandmother of 14 grandchildren.
In addition to raising her children Mildred worked at the Boston State Hospital and Fernald State School. After retiring she moved to Green Harbor where she enjoyed walking and swimming with her family and friends. She was an avid reader who enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was proud to say she taught her grandchildren to sew. Several of her made quilts earned first place ribbons at the Marshfield Fair. She volunteered at the Marshfield Senior Center and the Ventress Library. She spent her later years at Proprietors Green and All American Assisted Living
Visiting of hours will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
