Chapman, Muriel C. (Comeau), of Marshfield, formerly of Center Barnstead, NH, passed away on March 21, 2017 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Clarence A. Chapman, Muriel leaves a brother, Norbert Comeau and a sister, Lorraine Lawn, both of Marshfield, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Helen Robbins, Bernice Brady, Blanche Furey, Felix Comeau, Maynard Comeau, Rosemarie Harrington, and Jeanine Prendergast.

Muriel was a bank teller for many years, and also the treasurer of the town of Center Barnstead New Hampshire. Muriel was very active in the state of New Hampshire 4-H programs. She was both a group leader and a chaperone for many national competitions that her members attended. She was a prolific seamstress and quilter. With her sister Lorraine, she supervised the Peggy Beals quilt block contest at the Marshfield Fair for years. Muriel was active in the YWCA in Marshfield. Muriel loved her dogs. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Burial in Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading will be at a later date.
