Maj. (ret) Nancy Coralyn Goodwin passed away on May 19, 2022. The daughter of Clarence Goodwin and Dorothy Chapin Goodwin of Worcester, she graduated from Classical High School in 1955 and from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing in 1958.  She was a US Army Nurse serving in the Vietnam and European Theatres. On retirement from the Army, Nancy became a nursing supervisor at St. Margaret's Hospital in Dorchester.  She later became a successful restaurateur of the La Paloma Mexican Restaurant in Quincy.

Nancy was also active in her community of Marshfield in Veterans Affairs, at the Council on Aging and the 60+ Club. She was also a member of the DAR and the Order of the Eastern Star.  One of her great honors was to be Grand Marshall of the Marshfield Memorial Day Parade in 2018.  She dearly loved her neighbors and friends in Green Harbor.  The family is grateful for the kindness of all the people who helped her.

Nancy is survived by her niece Catherine Goodwin, and nephews Michael Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin and his wife Melissa Burrage.  Also her sister in law Elizabeth Goodwin and grandnieces Lydia Burrage-Goodwin and Miranda Burrage-Goodwin.  Nancy's brother Russell Goodwin and grandnephew Zachary Burrage-Goodwin pre-deceased her.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Nancy will then be laid to rest with Military Honors and a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
