Nancy Ruth (Detwiler) Moore, 82 of Lowell, MA, formally of Marshfield, MA, passed peacefully on March 10, 2021, due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Born on August 15, 1938, she was the loving daughter of the late Byron and Kathryn (Murphy) Detwiler of Lancaster, PA. She was the beloved wife of Joseph William Moore (deceased December 2003) married January 22, 1955 in Bainbridge, Maryland.

Nancy and Joseph spent most of their lives in Marshfield, MA, where Nancy was a homemaker and raised three sons. Nancy worked part time in many nursing homes as an aide and also at Marshall's Department store. She was a very active member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Marshfield, MA, for many years where she taught CCD and sang in the choir. Nancy was a November 2010 recipient of the Cheverus Award presented by Cardinal Sean Patrick O'Malley, Archdiocese of Boston for her long and devoted service to the Catholic Church.

Nancy is survived by her three loving sons: Michael and his wife Mary Ellen of Chelmsford, Patrick and his wife Julie of Mansfield, and Sean and his wife Betty of Falmouth. She was the cherished grandmother of Robert (Bobby) and his wife Melissa, Heidi and her husband Brice, Kailee and her husband Chris, Nicholas, Mikey, Fendy, and Melissa. Nancy was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jack, Lillian, Zoey, Isaiah, Gabriel, Melody, Elijah and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Nancy was predeceased by two brothers, Byron and Jere Detwiler.

Due to gathering restrictions, all Funeral & services will be held privately for the family. Interment will be at Winslow Cemetery in Marshfield, MA. A Celebration of Life Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Marshfield, MA, will be held at a later date.
