MARSHFIELD, Mass. -- Neal F. Frisbie, 67, of Marshfield, died peacefully May 8 at home.
Born in Marshfield, and a life-long resident there, he graduated from Weymouth Vocational Technical High School in 1976. He was a summer resident of West Arlington, VT.
He is survived by his son Alex and wife Brooke of Carver; daughter Kristin Straub and husband Nathan of Abington and their mother, ex-wife, Jennifer Russell of Plymouth; 2 grandsons, Bryson and Levi Straub, with another on the way; and brother Chester of Lunenburg.
Neal was predeceased by his father Richard Frisbie, Sr., and mother Constance (Johnson) of Marshfield and brother Richard Jr. of Florida.
A lifelong business owner, his ventures include; N & N Roofing and Construction, Capeway Millwork, Dockside Development and Neal Frisbie Custom Carpentry & Remodeling. He previously plowed snow for Logan Airport and the town of Marshfield.
He was a lifetime Marshfield Yacht Club member for more than 29 years and Marshfield 4H Club member for 26 years. He was also an Honorary Plymouth County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Quite involved in his community, he helped remodel the science wing of the newly built Furnace Brook Middle School, built the Blacksmith Shop at the Winslow House, managed the town voting booths, and even helped save dogs from a burning kennel building near his house.
In his leisure he enjoyed getting together with family and friends, helping loved ones with projects, camping in Vermont where he was in the process of fulfilling his dream of building a cabin, listening to music, cooking up new recipes, relaxing on his boat, summers on Duxbury Beach, and hosting NE Patriots watch parties.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and will conclude with a Celebration of Life service at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
