Comeau, Sr., Norbert J. of Marshfield, formerly of Watertown, passed away on May 31, 2017 at the age of 92.  He was the beloved husband of 67 years to the late Mary A. Comeau. Loving father of Norby Comeau of Marshfield and his companion Sharon Kent of Plymouth, Jeffrey Comeau and his wife Linda of Stratham, NH, and Jan Tedeschi and her husband Mark of Marshfield.  A devoted grandfather to Justin and Michelle Comeau, Jeffrey Comeau, Michael, Kristopher and his wife Abigail, Jason and Sean Tedeschi, and an adoring great-grandfather of Sloane Tedeschi. Brother of Lorraine Lawn of Marshfield and the late Helen Robbins, Bernice Brady, Blanche Furey, Felix Comeau, Maynard Comeau, Rosemarie Harrington, Jeanine Prendergast and Muriel Chapman. Brother-in-Law of Jean Maher and the late Helen Couture and Tom and Bernard Maher, Norbert also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Norbert and Mary were summer residents in Green Harbor since the late 1940s.  They moved from Watertown to Green Harbor in the 1980s.  Norbert attended St. Pats High School in Watertown.  He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943, during WWII, serving 3 ½ years and participating in the Pacific Theater (during the invasion of the Guam, Midway, Marshall Islands, and Eniwetok), traveling with Marine Air Corps Headquarters Division.  Upon returning to Watertown, he attended Northeastern University in Boston and worked at Raytheon for 37 years, retiring in 1991. Norbert will be greatly missed. His family would like to express their gratitude to all those that hold special meaning in his life, with a special thank you to his long-time caregiver Becky Kuehler, Dr. Ulrike Kohler and staff, Right-at-Home, Cranberry Hospice and Norwell VNA.

Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St. (Rte. 139) in Marshfield on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
