Pamela F. Sousa Paton of Marshfield, formerly of Taunton passed away unexpectedly on December 20 at the age of 66.

Pam was the daughter of the late John M. Sousa, a press operator from Norton and Bernice F. (McClellan) Sousa. Pam graduated from Bryant College and was a member of the Signa Lambda Theta Sorority.

After graduation Pam worked for the Taunton/Raynham Dog Track, then went to work for State Street Corporation where she met her husband Scott and had a 32-year career, culminating in her position as Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Vice President. While working at State Street, Pam was Chairperson for the Professional Women's Network. After retiring in 2013 she worked briefly for Greeley Communications providing business sales and presentation training.

Pamela also served as a board member for Common Impact, a nationally-recognized nonprofit that leverages corporate talent and expertise to support local communities and served as State Street Campaign Manager for the United Way.

Pam, or Pamie as her friends and family called her, was smart, charitable, quick to make friends, a loving wife, and her husband's best friend for over 36 years. She was also cat mom to Blau, their 17 year-old house cat. Pam loved living on the ocean, visiting Falmouth, reading, watching the Red Sox and Patriots; and planning parties at their home in Marshfield.

Pam is survived by her husband Scott, their cat Blau, and several aunts and cousins.

Visitation on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. will conclude with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
