Galligan, Patricia E. of Brant Rock, Marshfield, formerly of Canton, passed away on April 11, 2014 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Paul H. Galligan. Loving mother of Lisa Lawson and her husband Hank Cassidy of Hyannis, Jim Galligan and his wife Marlene of CT and Christopher Galligan and his wife Patricia of Weymouth. Loving grandmother of Derek Galligan and his wife Sarah, Ryan Galligan and her companion Ryan and Casey, Kevin, Paul and Sean Galligan. Loving great grandmother of Harper and Silas Galligan. Dear sister of the late James Shortall. Daughter of the late James and Regina (Anderson) Shortall. Dear cousin of Marie O'Neill of Marshfield. Pat summered all her life in Marshfield. She graduated from Bridgewater State College. Pat was a kindergarten teacher in the Norwood school system for 20 years before returning to Brant Rock. She was a talented artist and was involved in the drama program at the Marshfield Senior Center. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield. A service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Canton at a later date. Contributions in Pats memory may be made to the Marshfield Senior Center in support of the Art and Drama Program. Pat enjoyed every moment of her time there and was blessed by the love and support of the friends she met there.
