Patricia (Wiesen) "Pat" Roth, age 90, of Marshfield, passed away on October 18, 2023.  Pat was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, where she met her late husband, George Roth, who had been stationed there. They moved to Brookline, MA, and started a family, later moving to Marshfield, where they continued to build that family and became beloved community members.

Pat leaves behind her children: George and his wife Judy of Plymouth, Chris of Marshfield, Karen Pendergast of Boston, and Greg of Boston. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Courtney Roth Clark and her husband Kevin and their four children: Melissa Roth and her husband TJ Goff, George Roth and Jessica Roth; Gretchen and Christopher Roth; Jacquelyn, Jeremy and Kerri-Anne Pendergast; her siblings Mary Jones, Jimmy Wiesen, Sharon Bishop and Kathy Cotton. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Red, son Kevin, sisters Theresea Harp, Robbie Hartley, and brothers David, Eddie and Michael Wiesen.

Pat had a larger-than-life personality, which she shared through her love of books at the Marshfield Library, her infamous cookie swaps and tea parties, and daily walks with stops to chat with friends of both the human and animal variety around her neighborhood. Pat loved New England; she spent countless days at the ocean collecting rocks and sea glass regardless of the season. She was constantly busy, whether out in her garden, which was something to marvel at, writing letters to her grandchildren, or dressing up in her Halloween costume. Pat could make anyone feel like the most special person in the room. She was a cherished member of the Assumption Church, where she worshipped with her family every Sunday and taught CCD.

Admired for her strong will and fun personality, Pat will be remembered fondly for her love of life, family, and community.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street in Marshfield.
