Paul Robert Gustafson, "Gus", age 61, of East Weymouth, passed away into eternal peace at his home on Sunday, March 13, 2022 after battling with the chronic disease of alcoholism for many years.

Born May 15, 1960 in Quincy, he was the loving son to the late Erik Alden Gustafson and Victoria Lee (Holloman) Gustafson.  He was the former spouse to Antoinette, "Nina", (Corby) Gustafson, who has also recently passed into eternal peace on March 15, 2022.

During his young, healthy years, Paul thrived while working alongside his father who owned and operated Gustafson Painting.  After having learned from one of the best, from then on he took great pride in his work.  Very meticulous in any project he undertook, you knew if Paul worked on it, he put his heart and soul into it and it was completed at top notch.  He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, hiking and fishing.  He also loved music. Paul had a good heart and loved his family more than anything.  Polite and compassionate as well, he would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need of it.  His presence in our lives will be missed, yet he is at peace now and will remain in our hearts forever.

Paul is survived by his wonderful children, Erik Gustafson of Port Charlotte, FL and Emily Gustafson, and her husband Patrick of Pembroke and their two beautiful daughters, Ava and Amelia.  Beloved brother to his siblings, Kim, Laura, Mark, Robert, Vicki and Jennifer. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Daniel, Samantha, Amber, Erin, Shay, Antonio, Ashley, Elizabeth and Gabriella.

Reunited in spirit and both at peace, a loving tribute for Paul and Nina will be held together in unison.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours which will be held on Sunday, March 27th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and will conclude with a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home located at 1755 Ocean Avenue in Marshfield.
