Paul J. Maginnis, Jr., (PJ) 63, of Marshfield, MA and Bradenton, Florida passed peacefully surrounded by his adoring family after a brief illness on September 5, 2021. PJ leaves behind his loving wife Karen of 43 years, his darling daughters Shannon and her fiancé Kelly of Florida and Caitlin and son in-law John of Marshfield. PJ's most favorite thing was being Papa of John, Ella, Shyloh, Ruby, Karsen and Jameson. He loved playing ball and watching TV with his grand dogs Winnie, Lucas and Milo.

PJ was proud to be raised in beautiful Scituate, MA. He was the only boy among six children of the late Paul and surviving M. Helen (Hobin) Maginnis with his sisters Laura, Kerry, Christine, Holly and Kelly. PJ found great joy in providing entertainment and was happiest with a room full of laughter at his jokes and impersonations. He spent many retired years enjoying the Final Fantasy 15 game and loved his global friendships and connections he made along the way. His family owned a successful food truck and he often donated to those who could not afford to feed themselves.

PJ fiercely loved his family and protected them and worried about them until his final day. An eternal optimist, he made sure to show them how to be brave even when it's really hard to.

Funeral Services on Saturday, September 11, 2021 will be held in St. Mary of the Nativity Parish Church, 1 Kent Street in Scituate, with Visitation from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m.
