Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Paul E. Landry, 75, a longtime resident of Marshfield. Paul passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2023. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late George Landry and Elsie (Newton) Booth and was a graduate of Framingham South High school.

Paul, a Vietnam Veteran, served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1972 on an aircraft carrier serving Combat Jet planes.

Paul had been in the printing business before retiring and becoming a part-time livery driver. He also enjoyed working at Souther's Marsh golf course in Plymouth.

Paul was always there for his fellow Veterans. He would set up collection booths at the Marshfield Fair and local supermarkets for the Korean War Veteran's Association, Chapter #34 where he served as Treasurer. He volunteered and assisted Marshfield Veterans Services on several occasions, giving homeless Veterans rides to necessary services at Brockton VAMC and shelter during the winter months in Plymouth. He initiated the weekly "Lunch Brunch" at the Brant Rock Hop where he and other local veterans would come together.

Paul will be remembered for his service to his community and the Marshfield Police and Fire Departments, from hand delivering fully cooked meals on holidays to spearheading his tremendous group of Veterans in donating to Cops for Kids with Cancer every year.

Paul was always a kind, generous, friendly, outgoing guy who left a mark on those around him. He was always there to lend a hand, offer a hug or uplifting words for those who needed it. His smile and chuckle were infectious and he loved making people smile.

Paul was an avid golfer and enjoyed taking motorcycle trips with his friends. He cherished his family and never missed a family event, no matter how far it was.

Paul was a friend to everyone, and he will be deeply missed.

Paul is survived by his 2 daughters, Crista McKinnon and her husband Jeffrey of Acton, Heather Benson and her husband Larry of Woodstock, CT, 8 grandchildren, Timothy, Jeffrey, Samantha, Cassia, Steven, Sean, Jake and Shane, 3 great grandchildren, Sophia, Asher and Olivia. Paul also leaves his longtime companion, Lee Campbell.

Family and friends will honor and remember Paul's life on Sunday April 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Haddad's Oceanside Restaurant in Marshfield. Military Honors will be performed at the same location at 2:00 p.m.
